Wendy Fisher
Wendy Fisher is the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Home Buyers Warranty group of companies and New Home Warranty Insurance Company, A Risk Retention Group. Wendy joined the companies in 1989 and has over twenty-one years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in regulatory compliance, governance and captive insurance. She oversees regulatory compliance, corporate recordkeeping and governance for Home Buyers Warranty and its affiliates, including New Home Warranty Insurance Company, A Risk Retention Group. Wendy is also responsible for procuring and managing the companies’ corporate insurance coverages.
Wendy was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Risk Retention Association (NRRA) from 2001-2010, serving two terms as NRRA Board Chair, in 2003-04 and 2008-09, and has served on the NRRA Government Affairs Committee since 2000 (Committee Chair 2001-03, and 2006-08). She is current chair of the NRRA coalition to protect and defend the Risk Retention Act. In addition, she has been an active member of the Hawaii Captive Insurance Council (HCIC), Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA), National Home Service Contract Association (NHSCA), and the CPCU Society (national society and Colorado chapter). She has also been a frequent speaker at the NRRA, CICA and HCIC annual conferences and has authored articles for the Risk Retention Reporter.
Wendy holds a resident property and casualty insurance producer license in Colorado and non-resident producer licenses in forty-two other states.
