This course will cover:
- An overview of typical employee benefits and the market, including but not limited to life insurance, AD&D, STD, LTD and retiree medical benefits
- A case study of a company funding employee benefits in a captive, in addition to a discussion of the current funding status of the benefits market
- State and federal regulations associated with benefits, including the DOL exemption process used to gain approval for funding benefits in a captive
- Other benefits, like multi-national pooling

In addition to self-paced reading and assignment work, students will be required to attend three webconference sessions and complete two weeks of follow up assignments.
