ICCIE announces two new

Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) recipients

Burlington , VT -- The International Center For Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) is proud to announce two recent recipients of the Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) professional designation.

The two recent ACI graduates are Mike Murdock, the president of the Captive Insurance Division of Wright Risk Management Company, in Connecticut , and Tina Truax McCuin, senior vice president and captive insurance manager for TD Banknorth Wealth Management Group, based in Burlington , Vermont .

Murdock, who is responsible for Wright's overall captive insurance operations, has 27 years of extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, including the formation, development and management of various business entities, as well as managing claim and legal operations. He is licensed as an Insurance Broker, Certified Insurance Consultant, Captive Manager Representative, Reinsurance Intermediary Broker and Adjuster.

"I wanted to be part of an educational program which would provide a comprehensive overview of captives,” says Murdock. “The ICCIE Associate in Captive Insurance designation program is an excellent program with industry colleagues as instructors, quality course material, and a well structured curriculum. It exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to industry professionals working with captives," Murdock adds.

Truax McCuin is responsible for the investment management and new business development of TD Banknorth's captive insurance line of business. She has more than 15 years of corporate and captive insurance experience with TD Banknorth, and also served on the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) Board of Directors from 2001-2005.

TD Banknorth is ICCIE's Founding Partner and currently has three additional employees participating in the ACI professional designation program.

“It is only fitting that Tina is our first graduate of this program. She has always championed the captive insurance industry in Vermont and TD Banknorth's commitment to the industry,” says Philip Daniels, President of TD Banknorth of Vermont . “Tina was instrumental in our decision to play a major role in the formation of ICCIE,” he adds.

Opening its doors only 14 months ago, ICCIE already has 70 matriculants in the ACI professional designation program and another 40 individual course (modular) students. The program, which can be completed online from anywhere around the world, currently serves students in 30 U.S. states, Canada, Bermuda, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Nevis and St. Kitts, and Dubai.
